Deep Fryer Madness

I know it's not PC. I know it's not good for me. I know it's the bane of modern life.
But I has me a deep fryer! It's my new purchase and I love it!

The first time I used it I was shakin' Hot oil is sooooooo dangerous. But now, after three tries, I'm an old pro. Well, sort of. I'm getting better anyway. Tempura shitakes tonight. (no pic, sorry I just forgot, maybe cuz of the SAKE!)

Honestly if you are going to eat raw fish, I suggest Sake. If you are going eat deep fried thinly sliced veggies, Sake. And if you are going to eat seaweed in any form, I strongly recommend Sake!

Potstickers

Classic "what were you thinking" move. I made a pork roast the other day, a tenderloin. Just how much pork can one person eat. I'll tell you not as much as your eyes think.

So I chopped up some veggies and pork and made these charming little potstickers. I like them with mustard.

Worm Poop (It's My New Banner!)

After the recent rains, there are zillions (only a slight exaggeration) of these bumpy little piles. I read in Wiki that they are casts "faeces casts," which I interpreted to be poop. Set me right if I'm wrong.

We also have tons of red worms out here too. I looked for Wiki entry but found none. The Google search indicates red worms are big business for composting, and when I looked at some images to share, my stomach kind of went "Close window quickly!"

Even though red worms (wigglers) are cute in their own way, and I've saved scores of them from the birds after a storm (Yes, by picking them up off the cement and placing them on the dirt), looking at a bucket full of worms, well, not good right now.
